Enjoy a coastal dolphin-watching excursion in Watamu or Malindi, with a scenic boat ride to known dolphin habitats and opportunities to observe wild dolphins in their natural environment. Optional snorkeling may be available depending on the package and sea conditions.

    Departure: Depart early in the morning from your hotel or designated meeting point, generally around 6:00–7:00 AM when dolphins may be more active.

    Travel to Destination: Take a scenic boat ride along the coast to known dolphin habitats, with opportunities to see other marine life and coastal scenery.

    Main Activity: Enjoy guided dolphin watching in their natural habitat. Common sightings may include bottlenose and humpback dolphins, while sea turtles and seabirds may also be seen. Optional snorkeling may be available depending on the package, location and sea conditions.

    Return: Return by boat to the departure point after the dolphin-watching experience and any included optional snorkeling.

Good to know

Important information

Dolphin sightings are not guaranteed because dolphins are wild animals. Tours may be affected by weather and sea conditions; boats should maintain a respectful distance and avoid chasing or cornering dolphins. Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a camera; wear swimwear underneath your clothes if snorkeling is included. Consider preventative medication if prone to seasickness.
